We welcome participants and fans of Fireball Run to our Camden - "Queen City of the Ouachita" and "Where History Lives". Located on the banks of the Ouachita River, outdoor activities are abundant. We are also home to Camark Pottery and Grapette soda and are known for our southern hospitality. While visiting we encourage you to tour our two historical districts and over 20 sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The McCollum-Chidester House Museum was home to both the Union and Confederate troops during the Civil War and the Battle of Poison Springs will celebrate it's sesquicentennial in April of 2014. While visiting Camden you will also enjoy the many independently owned restaurants and specialty shops that make our community a unique travel destination. Local events include the Daffodil Festival in the spring and the BPW Barn Sale in the fall as well as the largest Juneteenth celebration in South Arkansas. Our industry base consists of timber and of defense companies, most of which are located in Highland Industrial Park. We hope your visit to our area is enjoyable and that you visit us often.
