There is nothing scary or nefarious about this widely-used, industry standard
authorization form which grants us permission to include your location and film there.
1. It is a blanket agreement, so aspects unrelated to you, aren't meant for you
(such as 'safety officials' or 'crowd control').
2. You are 3rd party insured by our policy.
3. *Assumption of Risk we do not cover accidents
caused by you.
(in other words if you break your own stuff, that's on you.)
Having interacted with thousands of locations
there has NEVER been an incident attributed to us.
Our insurance company loves us and so will you.
*HERES WHY
'Asumption of Risk' this is why...
Years ago, an employee at a location tripped and fell—completely unrelated to our production, equipment, or people, and not even near our setup. Eight months later, the employee's lawyer wrongly assumed our policy covered their incident simply because it occurred the day of filming.
Since then, our insurer madates this clause to clairify: we do not cover location incidents unless directly caused by our production, equipment, or team.
Nothing is worse than a liar, scammer, or one who represent them.
We were clearly found, not at fault. This clause exists to deter similar situations.
