The Fireball Run (Sept. 25 th -Oct 4 th , 2008) is
an invitational “Adventurtainment Rally” placing 100 competitive teams
(vehicles) with up to four people per team on the American landscape. The
sponsor-friendly national event journeys participants along a 3500 mile,
nine day cross-country adventure. Fireball Run is not a race, but
an interactive live action “game”. America is the game board, players
are but a pawn in the game. Starting on one side of the country and finishing
on the other; players know only the beginning and the end…what happens
in between is a mystery to be solved. Players advance in the game and
gain points by successfully solving clues which are presented at each
day's starting line. Two to three challenging road course race track
competition events are incorporated into Fireball Run's game play. There
are several opportunities to gain bonus points. Bonus points are revealed
leading up to and throughout the events game play. Teams also participate
in the Child Rescue Network's Race to Recover America's Missing Children ;
each team is assigned a different missing child. Your mission; distribute
the provided posters of your missing child along the 3500 mile route,
in an effort to raise awareness and recover your missing child. One out
of every six missing children is found as a direct result of being recognized
from a picture. The team which crosses the finish line with the most
points wins the event. The vehicle must cross the finish line under its
own power. The team vehicle must be the exact same vehicle originally
registered at the start of the event. Registered players may not be swapped
out for non-registered players at anytime during the event.
